Emily’s working on her Big Financial Goal of being a property owner and host of a short-term furnished rental (STR). Her goal timeline is 8 years. There’s lots of Financial Action to take in that time and some smaller goals to achieve too.

We are all complex people and so we need multiple communities and circles to help us grow, thrive, and have fun! On International Women’s Day (March 8th), we will be celebrating at TARRA Denver with 10 awesome women communities, including Arder. So I asked Alexandria her why of Arder, here’s what she shared!

For a lot of us, learning about finance is a tricky thing. It feels unnecessarily complicated and hard to access. We think “I can budget, I understand my finances, that’s enough for me.” But realistically, we need to understand how money works in order to use it to our advantage. I’m a giant reader, and have been for most of my life. So when I wanted to learn about finance, I turned to books…and the public library.

We believe that each money move you makes has a ripple effect on building healthier, wealthier communities. You know women that belong in our community and we want to reward you for inviting them in with our Ambassador Program.

The Pledgettes got our name from the commitment of members to pledgee 1% of their income to growing themselves financially.

Your money mindset is the key to understanding where you are starting so you can take action on where you are going!

It’s so foundational to the Financial Confidence we are building at The Pledgettes. So we made a workbook about it! It’s available to you FREE AS A DOWNLOAD and you can dive into some of the ideas below.

In 2019, I had some white space to think about how I wanted to spend my time, money, and energy. I had some big “why not me” energy and I was working on some Big Financial Goals alone. I wanted to learn from mentors, celebrate with friends, and build a team who could provide their experience and knowledge to help me achieve my goals.

Yeah, what I needed and wanted was a financial community. I couldn’t find it; so I built one!

Recently, I was asked to write a guest blog for Outgrow Your Garage. Since the new year is upon us I chose to write about business goal-setting. So often as business owners, we keep moving the carrot, we don’t feel like we have “enough” money to make that business investment or take that risk.
