What Would You Do? Car Repairs

What would you do?

After I bought my current car (in 2020), I took my car to at least two different quick oil changes and they charged equal or more than the dealership. So I started getting oil changes at the dealership.

Three months ago, I received an oil change and they said I needed new spark plugs. I googled some things and at 95k miles (and wanted my car to last a long time), it seemed like a good idea. So I spent the $300. Then, when I was driving home, I noticed the oil change sticker said 5k miles instead of 10k miles. I called and they said, "oh, if you want 10k on your sticker, you can come back." Ugh...they lost my trust.

This week I took my car to the dealership for an oil change (because I had a short amount of time and didn't want to do a bunch of price checks). So my oil was changed and...they recommended I get new spark plugs again!!! (Spark plugs last 100k). When I questioned the advisor, he said that the technician should have looked at our history and not recommended that. And they put 5k miles on my oil change sticker again. I asked them and they said, "we put 5k on their so you can come in for free and do a tire rotation and top off fluids." Never had I brought my car in and they said, "you don't need an oil change yet."

So, do I....?
- call the General Manager
- be honest in my review they requested via email
- say nothing and don't go there again?

What would you do?
