Investing in my Impact Investing Knowledge
I participated in the Women’s Foundation of Colorado’s Impact Investing Giving Circle in partnership with the Impact Finance Center.
I shared more of my experience in a recent blog with the Women’s Foundation.
I first heard about the Women’s Impact Invest Giving Circle (WIIGC) in 2019 as a potential recipient and set a goal to be on the other side of the table and generously give to social ventures.
While I applied for The Pledgettes to be a recipient in 2019, I wasn’t a match. I was still such a new business and the organizations that received the investments that cycle were incredible (and have done incredible things with the investment they received).
When they launched the third cycle of WIIGC, I was thrilled to join. It was a 9-month experience with a combination of education and action. Each participant contributed $2,000 to a Donor-Advised Fund and committed their time to a monthly meeting.
Together (our money and our time) invested in two social ventures: Colorado Birth and Wellness and Woman in the Nation.
Check out the blog to learn more about these two social ventures and my experience.
