Melanie has over 20 years of experience in nonprofit and political fundraising. She began as a junior fundraiser on a presidential campaign on the east coast and has since considered fundraising to be her life’s vocation. She has run large and small development offices for nonprofits of all sizes including the Denver Art Museum and the School of Public Health and two divisions of the School of Medicine at CU. In 2007, Melanie and her spouse were the sole cast members on a 14-episode series on The Travel Channel called 1,000 Places to See Before You Die. She has received a number of awards, including: CWCC’s 25 Most Powerful Women, Denver Foundation’s Philanthropic Leadership Award, Champions of Change, and GALS’ Honoree of the Year. She is an entrepreneur and has owned several businesses. She is a wife and the mother of two daughters.
